The beach itself is stunning. White sand, gentle breeze, and smiling faces. But, having traveled extensively in the Philippines I was still concerned about one thing… Food. So many times I have visited lovely places only to find the food sub-par. I am happy to report this is NOT the case for Alona Beach.

Alona Beach is Panglao Island's major tourist destination and it has the highest concentration of resorts in Bohol. It's sometimes called the "little Boracay" because of some of the similarities. Tourists looking to escape the crowd often complain that it's overdeveloped and too much like Boracay.

Sunrise Starfish The beach still looks awesome despite the cloudy weather. The beach's water is very clear and its waves are gentle and safe enough for kids to swim. There were no seaweeds and the sand feels smooth and subtle. Its blue sky and ocean horizon look very relaxing. Exploring this paradise was really a wonderful experience.
